Physalis grows very well in all the Andean regions at 3,000 meters or more over sea level.
It is a great source of Vitamin A and Vitamin C, with presence of some Vitamin B complex. It´s content of Phosphorus (55%) is very high for a fruit. And a great source of antioxidants.
It has multiple uses, as fresh or as dehydrated. We offer it dehydrated for cereal mixes, use in the chocolate industry, fruit and nut mixes and for teas.
It has high international demand as an “exotic” fruit, so it´s cultivation has been growing in many countries and regions in South America, been Colombia, Perú, Ecuador and Bolivia the main producers.
